General program information
- What is PurchasEdge?
PurchasEdge is a rewards program from HP. Members earn points based on the dollars they spend on qualifying Original HP printing supplies, such as HP LaserJet and inkjet cartridges. The points can be redeemed for more than 350 of the latest HP products, such as printers and scanners.
Members have online access to their point balances and account information, and can shop for rewards on the password-protected PurchasEdge website. Members are also eligible for exclusive quarterly deals that help them earn HP rewards even faster.
Participating in PurchasEdge is easy. Ask your office-products supplier to help you enroll. They can even submit your invoices to PurchasEdge for you.
- Does the program cost anything?
No, PurchasEdge is completely free. We even pay the product reward shipping costs and all taxes.
- What are the eligibility requirements for joining PurchasEdge?
To participate in the program, business customers must:
- Spend $500 USD* or more each year on qualifying Original HP supplies.
- Be located in the United States or Canada.
- How do I get started?
Contact your office-products supplier and ask them to help you enroll in HP PurchasEdge. You can also enroll directly here.
New members will receive a welcome kit with more program details and information, including how to sign in to receive 150 free points.

- How will I receive PurchasEdge communications?
HP will use your Program Participant Information to provide you with feature announcements, newsletters, e-statements, PurchasEdge offers and information on site improvements via your email and mailing address. We consider these communications to be an integral part of the PurchasEdge program. Therefore, your account will be automatically set up to receive electronic communications to ensure that you are aware of your current account information, the latest promotions and program news. Only PurchasEdge (or agents working on behalf of PurchasEdge under confidentiality agreements) will send you these mailings for the above purposes. You may opt out of electronic communications by submitting the request in writing to email@example.com.
- Do I have to buy directly from HP?
No. You can continue to buy your office supplies as you currently do. Use any participating HP Qualified Supplies Partner or multiple Qualified Supplies Partners--we'll consolidate your points for you.
- What items qualify for points?
As a member, you can earn PurchasEdge points on over 1,600 different HP supplies, including almost all HP LaserJet and inkjet supplies. Additionally, papers and other media are eligible. Hardware or other accessories are not eligible for PurchasEdge points.
- Do remanufactured cartridges qualify for points?
No, remanufactured cartridges do not qualify for points.
- How are points calculated?
As a member, you'll earn one PurchasEdge point for every $4 USD* you spend on qualifying Original HP supplies. For example:

- Can I combine cash with points to earn products faster?
No, the program does not allow members to supplement their points with payment.
- Does PurchasEdge offer other opportunities to earn points?
Yes. For example, you can earn points for recycling your HP ink and toner cartridges through HP Planet Partners. Members also find out about other new promotions at purchasedge.com, or via quarterly e-statements and other program communications.
- How often will my invoices be submitted for me?
Invoices are submitted at the discretion of each office-products supplier, but most are submitted once a month. Please check with your supplier to find out when invoices will be submitted.
- What is the electronic invoice submission process?
Our invoice submission process allows Qualified Supplies Partners to upload qualifying invoices online quickly and easily. Following that, point balances are typically adjusted the next business day.
- How do I redeem points?
Orders for HP products should be placed on the PurchasEdge website. Members can also get program and website support by contacting the PurchasEdge Support Center at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-888-264-6599 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (ET), Monday through Friday.
- Why are HP supplies not offered for redemption?
PurchasEdge members have indicated that they are most interested in redeeming their points for products such as HP printers and other hardware.
Of course, we recognize that a wide range of redemption options is important. That's why the current PurchasEdge Product Menu offers members more than 350 HP products to choose from:
- HP LaserJet printers
- HP Color LaserJet printers
- HP Photosmart printers
- HP multifunction printers (MFPs)
- HP Inkjet printers
- HP Deskjet printers
- HP Officejet printers
- HP All-in-One printers
- HP Scanjet scanners
- HP Care Pack Services
- HP paper (select varieties)
And we're constantly updating the Product Menu as new products are unveiled.
- Will you be adding more items?
Yes, we update the Product Menu every quarter and keep PurchasEdge members informed via e-statements and other program communications.
- Can PurchasEdge points expire?
Yes. Unused points expire after two years. Members can always view points at risk of expiring at purchasedge.com.
Additionally, if a PurchasEdge account remains inactive for 12 months or longer, we'll get in touch to confirm interest in the program. After that, a new invoice must be submitted within 90 days, or the account may be archived and the accrued points would expire.
- How will my personal information be used?
Any member information submitted as part of the PurchasEdge program will be used in accordance with the HP privacy statement as posted on the HP website: http://www8.hp.com/privacy/privacy.html.
The PurchasEdge program is channel neutral, and it will not supply personally identifying information regarding PurchasEdge members to any competing channel.
